What separates the plain from the premium? The so-so from the
savory?
At Delta Pride, the difference begins with, well, pride. We're
actually a farmer-owned cooperative. That's a snappy way of
saying the people who raise the fish own the company and care
about its products. Currently, we have 115 members who oversee
more than 60,000 acres of catfish ponds.
As one of America's first catfish processors, Delta Pride helped
launch the farm-raised catfish industry back in 1981, and we've
grown since then to become one of the country's leading producers.
On average, our farmer/owners deliver about 1.5 million pounds
of live fish per week.
